Making chocolates the old fashioned way, the authentic way, that’s what this family is all about.

With over 100 years of combined chocolate manufacturing experience, the Walter Family knows a thing or two about making chocolate.

Two generations of chocolatiers – Tony Sr. and Tony Jr. – live the chocolate life on a daily basis and are hands down the most knowledgeable retail manufacturers still working in the Philadelphia candy industry, one that has an illustrious past.

 

Both are hands-on and have a practical, passionate and authentic approach to chocolate manufacturing, which shows in everything they do.

 

For the first 30 years, Lore's chocolates were manufactured on-site at the 7th street retail location. Much needed room for growth led the Walter's to purchase the Original Goldenberg Peanut Chews Factory, located just 5 miles north of the retail store. You might say it's a factory with good chocolate karma.
